Introducing Cheyenne!

She wakes with the sun and follows the call of the land. Whether she's casting a line with her Moshum, learning to track in fresh snow, or listening to stories around the fire, every adventure teaches her about courage, kindness, and the sacred bond we share with the earth.

But Cheyenne is more than just a character, she's a bridge to the wisdom, laughter, and traditions that make us who we are. She represents the childhood some of us never had and the stories we didn't get to hear. Come along on her adventures.

Bringing Cheyenne to Life

  • A person with long blonde hair crouching on a dirt path, holding a camera with a large lens and aiming it towards the left, with a forested background.

    First, We Listen

We travel across Alberta, sitting with Elders, storytellers, trappers, and berry pickers. We walk the land with them, listening to their teachings and wisdom.

  • Child wearing yellow gloves and black clothing picking up fallen pinecones on a forest floor with twigs and dried leaves.

    Next, We Create

These real experiences become Cheyenne's adventures. We carefully weave each teaching into her world, preserving the wisdom while bringing it to life for new generations in her stories.

  • Bookshelves filled with colorful books in a library or bookstore.

    Finally, We Honour & Preserve

Every contributor is celebrated at the end of every book, and their stories find new life in libraries, schools, and popular culture. Cheyenne becomes the bridge, a character who brings these teachings to life and ensures they remain forever, carrying the voices of Knowledge Keepers into the future for generations to discover.

The Elders, knowledge Keepers and storytellers hold a special place in our world. They are the keepers of wisdom, culture, and tradition, guiding us through adventures with stories, teachings, and life lessons passed down through generations. Their voices help shape our understanding of who we are and where we came from. They invite us all to listen, learn, and carry their knowledge forward with respect and gratitude. Their stories are not just part of the past, they are the way of our future.
